Avril Lavigne has a new video out, and while that normally wouldn’t be news, the clip for “Rock N Roll” is so ridiculous that it’s somehow forced itself into the collective consciousness. In the five-minute clip, Lavigne manages to heavily pimp a Sony phone, semi-wittily reference her song “Sk8er Boi,” say the word ‘motherfucking,’ fight both a BearShark and a knife-wielding lobster, deal with a mustachioed Billy Zane who's somehow launching his Segway into the stratosphere, get into a car accident caused by a drunk-driving dog, and—God help us all—make out with Danica McKellar (a.k.a. Winnie Cooper), all while sporting a sort of Tank Girl/steampunk-style outfit. Because Lavigne’s nothing if not at all subtle, she even throws a voiceover onto the kissing scene, a la The Wonder Years. It’s hard to explain how weird this video really is, so it’s best to just watch it below and be simultaneously titillated and confused.
