Pink Mountaintops get raunchy in the video for “North Hollywood Microwaves”

Stephen McBean of the psychedelic rock juggernaut Black Mountain hasn’t been active with his side project Pink Mountaintops for a while—and it took a move to L.A. to catalyze the latter group’s new album, Get Back. Aptly enough, it’s a primal, chrome-plated beast fueled by rock ’n’ roll sleaze-and-snarl. The scratchy, vivid video for the album’s most singular song “North Hollywood Microwaves”—which is being debuted here—was directed by Giant Drag’s Annie Hardy, who also raps with pornographic abandon in the song. Yes, you read that right. Raps. About, like, bear cum and stuff.

Get Back will be released April 29 via Jagjaguwar.
